I guess I’m an empty nester now that my son is off to college. Empty is even more accurate when you consider that my household is now pet-less after twenty years of pet ownership. At one point I had two dogs and two cats with at least one dog as a staple family member. But my house is nowhere near empty. My latest area of acquisition has been sock yarn, to feed my sock frenzy as I have been hand knitting socks since May 2009. There’s no end in sight to this hobby, though I have completed non-sock projects and have more non-sock projects planned. It’s a way to keep my hands and mind busy in between adventures.
My primary adventures in recent months has been visiting zoos around the area. I’ve been north to Toledo, east to Pittsburgh, south to Montgomery (AL) and west to St. Louis, among others. And I have hundreds, nay thousands of photos to show for it. More to follow.
